5. You can help protect your  baby by adhering to the following:
   

6. •to reduce the risk of SIDS always place your baby to sleep on their back.  The baby’s sleep surface should be firm and flat.
   

7. •never place your baby on any surface where they may roll off or fall.
   

8. •never leave your baby unattended.
   

9. •never place the mat, toddler pillow or any object on top of the baby
   

10. •avoid placing fluffy blankets, stuffed animals or toys or pillows on top of or near baby to avoid suffocation.
    

11. •always make sure your baby’s head and face remain uncovered.
    

12. •position the baby mat away from any cords, blinds, drawstrings and don’t put strings on pacifiers – these can be strangulation hazards for your baby
    

13. •the buckwheat quilt for the mat and pillow has been stitched as to prevent against accidental leakage of the buckwheat hulls. However, should the mat/pillow become damaged so that the buckwheat content is released, the buckwheat hulls are not to be ingested as they could be a choking hazard.
